Why should I use you?
We want you to be safe. We are fully trained in many areas: how to properly use ladders, how to use a harness, how to safely ascend a steep pitched roof, how to walk on tile roofs, shake shingle roofs, asphalt roofs, metal roofs etc. We are also trained on how to properly install lights and electrical ratings associated with the lights.
What if my lights go out?
When you use our lights, service calls are free. We respond as promptly as possible. There may be times when we cannot access the lights safely due to snow or ice on the roofs to fix them. In such a case we cannot guarantee we can complete the work until the working conditions improve to a safe condition.
whats the DIFFERENCE between the lights you provide vs what i can buy at the local store?
The lights we provide are commercial grade lights and will last longer. On canopy tree wraps and house roof lines we use C7 and C9 wire and bulbs. The benefit of our lights is they can be fixed if anything goes wrong. If a bulb goes out the rest of the line stays lit. This saves lots of wasted material because your not throwing away your lights every year or two. The wire on these lights are 10 amps and 8 amps, equivalent to the extension cords you find on your house lamps.
Can you just use my lights?
We shy away from using your lights unless they are commercial grade and custom built for the home. Overall it can cost you more to use your own lights. The labor cost is more because it takes more time to figure out how to make them look good on the house as well as testing and trying to fix them. We cannot guarantee they will work so there is a service fee to come and work on them if there is a problem during the season. If you use our lights the maintenance is included. Store bought lights are constantly being replaced because they are built so cheap.
How do you attach the lights?
We use plastic clips and zip ties to attach all the lighting we can. We try to avoid using staples, screws and nails if at all possible. We may tack a cord to the wall here and there to keep it tucked in and away from the elements.
